Being gay is not a plot point. It’s not a token that you can say, “Look, we have a gay character! Isn’t that great? Aren’t we awesome?” It’s part of a person and therefore it should be treated as such. It should be one facet of a character rather than the defining description of that character. And I hope that we have, through the writing and the performance of it, we have kind of struck that balance, where the audience learns something more about Cecil and Carlos both, not dependent on their sexuality, but in addition to their sexuality.

- SOLUTION
Couldn’t resist. Had to revisit Cecil and Carlos one more time. The first image was inspired by what somebody in the tags wrote reblogging my other WTNV set. It mentioned how love makes anybody perfect even if the characters aren’t “perfect” in a Hollywood sense. I found that super sweet.
Then, wow, way to hit my soft spot for werewolves! Inspired by this post and headcanon. My headcanon involves residents of Night Vale changing so heck-to-the-yes for a WereWhyWolf Carlos. He’d totally freak out at first, but Cecil would come over and comfort Carlos when he has those monthly changes.
cogswithnooil: Finally done! I tweaked Cecil and Carlos a little from when I drew their individual pics. I wanted to make Cecil less “monster in human form” and more “modified human”.
Ladies and gentlemen, let us mourn the pass—
